Manokatha – The Story of Mind and Beyond
About Me
I’m Rutvija Trivedi, an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Manokatha, a private mental health practice based in Ahmedabad.
I offer both in-person and online therapy for individuals across India and internationally.
Over the past five years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating emotional distress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, developmental concerns, and significant life transitions. My professional experience includes working as a Clinical Psychologist at BM Institute of Mental Health, as a School Counsellor at AES AG School, Ahmedabad, and as the Chief Clinical Psychologist at a child development center where I supported individuals and families across diverse emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from humanistic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), behavioural, and trauma-informed perspectives. While I believe deeply in creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, I also recognise that different individuals benefit from different ways of working. Therapy is therefore tailored to your unique experiences, strengths, goals, and challenges.
Clients often describe my presence as calm, grounding, and deeply attentive. I value clinical understanding, ethical practice, and emotional nuance because meaningful therapy requires all three.

About Manokatha
Manokatha translates to “the story of the mind.”
Every individual carries a layered, complex inner narrative shaped by experiences, relationships, strengths, and vulnerabilities. At Manokatha, that story is met with care — not labels.
This is a thoughtfully designed therapeutic space offering holistic therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. The work here is relational, collaborative, and intentional. Sessions are paced to allow depth rather than urgency, clarity rather than quick reassurance.
Clients seek Manokatha when they value:
- Emotional safety.
- Psychological insight.
- Professional integrity.
- Sustainable, long-term change.
Areas of work include anxiety, mood-related concerns, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, neurodevelopmental conditions (Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities), and adjustment to life transitions.
Therapy at Manokatha is evidence-informed and ethically grounded — but above all, human.
If you are considering beginning therapy, you are welcome to schedule a consultation.
